Viewing Your Orders
Once you’ve made a sale for a product you’ve imported from DropCommerce, you will be notified by Shopify. To view and fulfill those pending order(s), first select the Orders page on the navigating sidebar to view the orders.
Additionally, DropCommerce integrates automatically with Shopify, ensuring that orders canceled in Shopify are also canceled in DropCommerce to maintain consistency. This automation can prevent or cause errors if cancellations in Shopify are unintentional.
Here you’ll see the order number, date registered, and the total cost owed to the supplier.
The status of each order—such as Pending, Processing, or Shipped—will also be displayed, allowing you to track the progression of fulfillment.
Fulfilling an Order
To fulfill a customer's order, select Pending to view a breakdown of the order details.
The 'Pending' status indicates that the supplier has not yet been paid, which halts the fulfillment process until the payment is resolved.
Once you're finished reviewing these details, simply select 'Pay Supplier & Fulfill Order' to complete the transaction. The supplier will then receive a notification for the order and begin its fulfillment.
If the payment fails or the order remains unfulfilled, ensure that the supplier's payment is retried and verify your account settings for errors. Correct any issues and reattempt the fulfillment.
To confirm the payment has gone through, the 'Paid' icon will appear as shown below:
Once the order has been shipped, the status of the order will correspond. This can be reviewed in the 'Paid' section of the Orders page.
For a seamless progression, orders transition from 'Pending' to 'Processing' once supplier payment is made and to 'Shipped' once dispatched. Confirm these transitions to ensure completion.
If a tracking number is offered, it will be provided in the order details upon shipment.
Important Note: To fulfill any orders, you will need to make sure your Credit Card is registered with DropCommerce. This can be done in Settings > Account Details.
Furthermore, monitor the sync behavior between Shopify and DropCommerce, regularly check order statuses, and ensure all supplier payments are completed to avoid delays or cancellations.
